The KindaSock is a unique, quirky venue that hosts various kinds of events from weddings to parties, festivals, wakes and corporate away days.

set on the outskirts of cambridge with 2 acres of land, the venue has its own privacy while being easily accessible.

this beautiful, colourful venue HOLDS UP TO 600 PEOPLE. IT has a bar, cafe, function room and therapy room inside. there is plenty of space, large seating areas, a professional kitchen and a large hall that overlooks the garden. The spacious grounds conist of a versatile space with plenty of seating, a marquee and a stage where bands can play. there is a pizza oven, fire pits and a double decker bus with a bar and decking.

​The KindaSock is the perfect spot for those who want to step away from the outside world for a while. it operates as a social enterprise with strong ethical values and profits are reinvested into charitable causes.

 
 

GETTING THERE

here’s how you can get to The kindaSock Venue, Cambridge (previously known as the missing sock, as listed on google maps). The kinda Sock is located in Stow-cum-Quy, Cambridge, CB25 9AQ. Below are directions for traveling by car and train.

🚆 By Train

Nearest Station:

Cambridge Railway Station (approx. 6 miles from the venue).

From London:

Take a direct train from London King's Cross or London Liverpool Street to Cambridge Station (45-60 min).

From the North:

Take a train to Cambridge via Peterborough or Ely.

from Cambridge Station:

Taxi: A taxi from Cambridge Station to The Missing Sock takes about 15-20 minutes.

  • Take Bus 11 (Stagecoach) towards Newmarket from Drummer Street Bus Station (near the train station).

  • Alight at Stow-cum-Quy and walk about 10 minutes to the venue.

🚖 By Car

From Cambridge:

  • Take the A1134 and join Newmarket Road (A1303) heading east.

  • Continue for about 4 miles until you reach Stow-cum-Quy.

  • The venue is on your right, just before the junction with the A14.

From London & South:

  • Take the M11 northbound towards Cambridge.

  • Exit at Junction 14 to join the A14 eastbound.

  • Continue on the A14 for about 5 miles, then take Exit 35 for the A1303 towards Newmarket.

  • Turn left onto Newmarket Road (A1303) and follow signs for Stow-cum-Quy.

  • The venue is on the left.

From the North:

  • Take the A1(M) southbound.

  • Exit at Junction 14 onto the A14 eastbound.

  • Follow the same directions as above from Exit 35.

PARKING

THERE IS A CAR PARK IN THE VENUE GROUNDS with limited spaces. tickets can be booked in advance, and there is some off-street parking in the local area should it become full.
